About Cassidy

Cassidy started her higher education at New York University in 2005 and transferred to UCSB in 2007, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Communication in 2009. Her passion for event planning began in New York when she interned for the non-profit organization, Visiting Neighbors, as their Event Intern, and helped plan their Senior Citizen Talent Show. From there she went on to intern for a boutique event planning firm, Type Social, Inc., where she worked with high end clients such as BCBG and the Nature Conservancy. After transferring to UCSB she took on internships with Elite Meetings International, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and Events of Santa Barbara. Upon graduation she was offered the position of Event Coordinator at Elite Meetings International where she planned marketing events that brought together leaders in the luxury hotel industry with corporate and association meeting planners. She recently took leave of Elite Meetings International and is excited to pursue new ventures.

She has served as the Vice President of Membership & Hospitality on the executive board for the Association for Women in Communication, Santa Barbara Chapter since February, 2010 and is currently heading the committee for the 2011 Women of Achievement Luncheon. Additionally, she is Chair of Demonstrations and Entertainment for the Santa Barbara Firefighters Alliance's 2011 Fire Ball.

Her other interests include (but are not limited to) traveling, mastering french, pilates, writing and country line dancing.
